This unique Level 6 Award offers an in-depth and holistic exploration of intergenerational trauma — integrating cultural, nervous system, ancestral, and spiritual lenses – for counsellors and psychotherapists looking to add depth and breadth to their trauma work.
You’ll learn how to safely support clients navigating inherited pain, unconscious family roles, systemic burdens, and internalised shame. We’ll explore the emotional, relational, and cultural layers of intergenerational wounding, while offering tools for repair, reconnection, and legacy liberation.
This course weaves together theory, somatic awareness, trauma-informed practice, and reflective exploration — empowering you to hold space with sensitivity, depth, and cultural humility.
Training sessions
9 live workshops, via zoom, every other Tuesday and Saturday over 3 months. Each session includes trauma theory, reflective practice, experiential activities, and integration.
Reflective Practice
3 group reflective practice sessions are included to support your application of learning in real client work.

Entry Requirements
- A Level 4 and/or Level 5 or equivalent qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy
- 150+ supervised client hours
- An interest in ancestral healing, collective trauma, or family systems
- Commitment to cultural competence and anti-oppressive practice
- Be able to stabilise self throughout training and be willing to engage in personal therapy should the need arise.
